TAFISA Joins OCA General Assembly in Bangkok, Thailand

On March 2nd, the Olympic Council of Asia’s 38th General Assembly opened in Bangkok, Thailand where TAFISA President, Prof. Ju-Ho Chang, was invited by OCA Director General Dr. Husain Al-Musallam.

OCA President, HE Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah, welcomed the delegates to the Arnoma Hotel in the presence of Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sport, Mr Weerasak Kowsurat, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Thailand National Olympic Committee President, Gen. Prawit Wongsuwang. IOC Member from Thailand Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul was also in the attendance, among other VIP guests.

The General Assembly continued on March 3rd, the General Assembly with the election of Executive Board for new term 2019-2023. The President of the Olympic Council of Asia, HE Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, was re-elected for another four-year term.

Through this opportunity, President Chang was able to meet various representatives of NOCs from Asian region including Sri Lanka NOC, Vietnam NOC and Saudi Arabian NOC to discuss future cooperation with TAFISA to make a better world through Sport for All.
