PACTE Project Meeting in Brussels, Belgium

On June 20th, 2019 the 3rd PACTE Steering Committee meeting was hosted by Sport and Citizenship in Brussels, Belgium. The various partners focused on the latest developments of the PACTE matrix, aimed at supporting municipalities take steps for the happiness and well-being of their citizens, and the next steps to be undertaken. The following day, a workshop on "Active Cities, Active Workplaces" was held at the European Committee of the Regions. Three workshop sessions took place on the role of municipalities in promoting active workplaces, creating alliances and partnerships, and towards a European certification for active workplaces.

The next PACTE Workshop on "Active Mobility" will be hosted by European Cyclists' Federation in Brussels in October 2019.

PACTE (Promoting Active Cities Throughout Europe) is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, which aims to sensitise municipalities, Europe-wide, on the crucial role they can play in promoting Physical Activity. It is led by Sport and Citizenship wth the support of TAFISA, International Council for Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE), European Physical Education Association (EUPEA), National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI), European Federation for Company Sport (EFCS), European Cyclists' Federation (ECF), City of Liverpool, City of Turku.
