TAFISA is happy to report on the success of the 2nd International Sport for All Congress that was held on February 18-19, 2017 in Tehran, Iran.

The Iranian Minister of Sport and Youth Masoud Soltanifar and TAFISA President Juho Chang opened the congress with their welcome words in front of the large audience. The Congress was held under the theme "Past Achievements and Future Plans - Sport for All around the World" and over the two-day event, more than 600 participants actively discussed future concepts of how to integrate physical activity into today's society.

The Congress was very well prepared and organised by the Iran Sport for All Federation that has been a longstanding TAFISA Member, under the leadership of President Ali Majdara and Vice-President Mitra Rouhi, also member of the TAFISA Board.

The quality of presentations was outstanding and up to the level of International standards, with recognised experts from Iran but also invited speakers from other countries, including TAFISA Advisor Jorma Savola from Finland and KCSport's Peter Barendse from the Netherlands who is also a member of the TAFISA Board.

The world is looking forward to the 3rd international sport for all congress in Tehran, probably to be organised in 2019.
