EPAS 2023 Annual Meeting: Changes in Board and Focus on Sport Integrity

The Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS), a body of the Council of Europe, recently held its annual meeting in Strasbourg. The event showcased activities and brought about changes in the board of EPAS. 

The meeting began with an unconscious bias training session focused on promoting equality in women's sport. Dr. Jane Dennehy led the session, raising awareness of sexism and unconscious bias in the media.

SPACHE Conference: How to link Sport and Cultural Heritage in Europe?

TAFISA Extends a Helping Hand to Cyclone Freddy Victims in Mozambique

TAFISA has made a donation towards the victims of Cyclone Freddy in Mozambique. The donation was handed over by TAFISA Vice President Keenese Katisenge-Tizhani on Thursday 11 May in collaboration with the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC). The High Commissioner of Mozambique in Botswana, H.E Antonio Macheve, was also present to receive the donations.

TAFISA Joins EU Sport Forum 2023 in Stockholm

On 2-3 May, a TAFISA delegation comprised of President Wolfgang Baumann (Germany), along with TAFISA Vice-President Denis Karakasis, from the Ministry of Culture and Sports/General Secretariat of Sports, Greece, and Board Member Jacqueline Kronenburg, from the Knowledge Centre for Sport & Physical Activity, Netherlands, joined the EU Sport Forum held in Stockholm as part of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
