A TAFISA delegation led by TAFISA President Prof. Dr. Ju-Ho Chang who was accompanied by SAKA (Sport for All Korea Association) Vice-President Ms Sujee Choi and TAFISA Project Manager Gaëtan Garcia, joined the 7th International Sports Forum "Russia - Country of Sports" held in Ulyanovsk, Russia on October 10-12. The Forum is a major event in the sports field, attracting several thousands of participants from all over Russia and abroad.
The plenary session was moderated by Russia's Minister of Sport Pavel Kolobkov and featured high-profile speakers such as the Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets. The TAFISA President addressed the audience during the plenary session, presenting TAFISA's Mission 2030 as a roadmap for action that can bring the global Sport for All movement together in order to combat the global physical inactivity pandemic. Prof. Dr. Ju-Ho Chang concluded with an invitation to the 1st TAFISA World Martial Arts Festival to be held in Ulyanovsk, Russia, on September 13-17, 2019.
TAFISA was then invited to join a reception hosted by the Governor of Ulyanovsk Region Sergey Morozov during which the Governor and the Russian Minister of Sport highlighted the 1st TAFISA World Martial Arts 2019 as a major sporting event in Russia and worldwide.
The TAFISA delegation concluded its visit in Ulyanovsk with an inspection tour of the various facilities that will host the Martial Arts Festival.
TAFISA is thankful for the warm hospitality displayed by the representatives and citizens of Ulyanovsk and following the various meetings and the inspection tour, TAFISA is confident that the Festival next year will be a great success.
