TAFISA BoD Catherine Forde Joins Congress on Active Cities in Guatemala

On 8 October 2020, TAFISA Board Member Catherine Forde was invited as a speaker to join the 1st Congress on Active Cities in Guatemala  "Active, healthy, peaceful and happy cities" and delved into the topic of "The Importance of Physical Activity and Sport for All in Cities". 

The Congress, hosted by the Guatemalan Olympic Committee, follows the initiative from the Guatemalan National Council of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (CONADER) and the National Association of Municipalities (ANAM)  to transform urban centres in active cities to enhance the quality of life of their citizens. The Congress aimed to promote healthy lifestyles and raise awareness among mayors and officials of the municipalities, ANAM, officials of the Central Government and its ministries, Congress of the Republic, Segeplan, the Physical Culture System, its institutions and powers, international organisations, business sector, NGOs, students, journalists and the general public.
