The inaugural INTERACT+ Capacity Building workshop recently concluded in Linz, Austria from 6-8 December, marking the successful start of an exciting Workshop series. The workshop is designed to empower individuals and catalyse sports organisations in embracing Sport for All. Module presenters were JÖrg Benner from the European Flying Disc Federation, Rachel Mait from TAFISA, Mayssa Bsaibes from the International Table Tennis Foundation, and Nathalie Cariou from the French Sambo Committee. Attendees immersed themselves in comprehensive sessions covering the Sport for All concept, networks, and best practices. The practical application of knowledge was emphasized as participants designed events, programmes, and policies tailored to integrating Sport for All within their organisations.
The workshop served as a collaborative platform, fostering idea exchange and brainstorming sessions on the optimal strategies for implementing Sport for All in their activities. Crucially, this training equips sports organizations to expand their influence by aligning their initiatives with global benchmarks and targets, including the WHO GAPPA framework, UN SDGs, and TAFISA Mission 2030. Participants left the workshop with a clear vision and actionable steps to implement Sport for All within their organisations. The success of this workshop sets the stage for upcoming sessions.

INTERACT+ (International and European Sport Organisations Activating Citizens Plus ) is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. It aims to enhance the tools and resources built by its predecessor project, INTERACT, to complement ISO activities and support them in developing Sport for All. In addition, it will continue the work done by INTERACT to position ISOs as critical leaders of the Sport for All and physical activity movement and effectively contribute to a change of paradigm and delivery system within the sports movement. INTERACT+ builds on the learnings, results and deliverables of its predecessor project, IESOAC/INTERACT.
