On 2-5 July, TAFISA was invited by Sokol, host to the TAFISA World Congress 2026, to join their SLET 2024 event in Prague.
Led by President Wolfgang Baumann, the TAFISA delegation comprised of Treasurer Janez Sodrznik, Msc, Good Governance Officer Finn Berggren and Commissioner for Political Affairs Prof. Dr. Heinz Zielinski had opportunities to meet up with Sokol Mayor Martin Chlumsky and his team to discuss the next TAFISA World Congress, which will be held in Prague, Czech Republic, in Spring 2026.
Along with constructive meetings between TAFISA and Sokol, the seamless organisation of SLET further emphasized the experience and professionalism of Sokol in hosting international events. Held every six years, the "All Sokol gathering" of SLET brought over 20,000 participants to Prague in a celebration of the Sokol culture and community worldwide. This display of unity was demonstrated through the performance of coordinated dance in front of the thousands of spectators present in the mythical Eden Arena, home to SK Slavia Prague and the national Czech Footbal team.
The visit confirmed that with Sokol as its host, the TAFISA World Congress 2026 promises to deliver an unforgettable experience to all participants.
