The ACT Rise project recently launched its new
website aligned with the celebration of the European Week of Sport events organized by the ANS in Bucharest.
ACT Rise is a capacity-building project that aims to:
- upskill representatives of public and private sport federations from Romania, Moldova and Ukraine (in addition to participants from Eastern Neighborhood countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia) in the field of Sport for All.
- develop a Sport for All training methodology based on the HEPA Guidelines to train coaches, instructors, teachers, volunteers, or sport specialists.
- map policies and strategies at national, regional and local level in each partner country to allow a real assessment of the management of sports structures in the partner countries.
- raise awareness about the importance of Sport for All and physical activity while addressing key societal challenges in post-conflict regions.
As part of this effort, TAFISA contributed through the Certified Leadership Courses in Sport for All, held from May 27 to 30, 2025, and facilitated by Patrik Perosa and Jörg Benner. The course gathered 41 participants, offering hands-on learning, networking, and opportunities to design practical Sport for All initiatives.
Among the groups formed during the course, one of the team brought their project to life during the European Week of Sport with the initiative titled "Sport for All – The Art of Movement, Feeling and Thinking". Adina Geambasu, Tiberiu Simulescu, Carmen Baisan, Filip Gheorghe, Nicoleta Galateanu, and Sersea Erika organized a hands-on workshop at the Be Active Village in Bucharest on 27 September, engaging around 250 participants
The session brought together around 250 participants, engaging them in activities that enhanced coordination, balance, and body awareness through neuro-training, posture exercises, and equilibrium games. These activities aimed to highlight how movement can influence not only physical health but also mindfulness and cognitive function in daily life.
After the successful reception from participants attending the Be Active Village, the team is now deliberating on leveraging the learnings from this project and moving forward with its long-term vision and sustainability by bringing the activities to other spheres of the civic society, particularly schools, rehab centers, and sport clubs to reach communities across Romania and beyond.
