YouthSportCV Project Kick-off with Project Partners Meeting in Barcelona

Last week, the Kick-Off Meeting of the European project YouthSportCV was held at the headquarters of the Union of Sports Federations of Catalonia (UFEC). YouthSportCV is a transnational initiative led by UFEC that brings together organisations from seven European countries working in the fields of sport, youth, and employability.

The project partnership includes the European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation – Youth (ENGSO Youth) from Sweden (based in Lithuania), the Association for International Sport for All (TAFISA) from Germany, the European University Sports Association (EUSA) from Slovenia, the European Association of Sport Employers (EASE) from France, the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sport – Department of International Relations and EU Policies (GM) from Greece, and the Sport Evolution Alliance (SEA) from Portugal, together with UFEC as the coordinating organisation.

The project aims to improve the employability of young people, with a particular focus on NEETs (young people not in education, employment, or training), by recognising the soft skills acquired through sports participation. YouthSportCV will develop innovative digital tools, including a self-assessment platform, digital certification, and online training for coaches. In addition, pilot programmes will be implemented in Barcelona, Lisbon, and Athens.

The initiative promotes inclusion, gender equality, and European values, in line with the priorities of the Erasmus+ Sport programme. TAFISA is proud to be part of this project that strengthens the social impact of sport while creating tangible pathways to employment for young people across Europe.
