We are proud to announce that the TAFISA 2025 Annual Report is now available to read and download. This year's report tells the story of a movement in full stride - one that reached further, connected deeper, and delivered more than ever before.
A Year That Belongs to Everyone
2025 was, in many ways, a paradoxical year. Against a backdrop of global uncertainty and conflict, the Sport for All Movement continued to grow, to empower, and to bring people together across borders, cultures, and communities. From the training grounds of Trinidad & Tobago to the forests of Nabeul, Tunisia; from the streets of Guatemala City to the halls of the European Parliament; from Casablanca to Fiji and beyond, 2025 demonstrated once again that Sport for All is not an abstract ideal. It is a daily reality for hundreds of thousands of people around the world.
Highlights From 2025
- Capacity Building at Scale
The SUCCEED framework continued to strengthen Sport for All leadership globally. The Certified Leadership Course (CLC) expanded into Fiji, Botswana, and Lesotho, graduating 272 new leaders and generating over 23 community projects already in the pipeline. The Girls Positive and Safe Coaching Pathway reached 1,091 coaches across 13 countries, supported by a new network of 48 Local Trainers and 4 Regional Advocates.
- A Growing Global Network
TAFISA welcomed 10 new member organisations in 2025, bringing the total to 398 members across 160 countries - a record for the movement.
- Advocacy That Made a Difference
TAFISA joined more than 150 organisations across Europe in calling on EU institutions to prioritise sport and physical activity in the next Multiannual Financial Framework. We signed two new Memoranda of Understanding, with the International Working Group on Women and Sport and the Global Observatory for Gender Equality & Sport, deepening our commitment to gender equity in sport.
- Events That United the World
World Walking Day 2025 brought together more than 160,000 participants across 80+ countries in a single 24-hour relay of movement. The TAFISA European Sport for All Forum in Frankfurt welcomed 120+ delegates from 33 countries for two days of dialogue, collaboration, and shared ambition.
- Looking Ahead
2026 is already shaping up to be a defining year for the movement, with the 29th TAFISA World Congress in Prague (13–17 May) and the 3rd TAFISA European Sport for All Games in Limerick (6–11 August) bringing the global community together once more.
