CLC Going Upwards! Current Facilitators Drop-In Session

TAFISA recently hosted a drop-in session with current Certified Leadership Course (CLC) Facilitators who led course deliveries in Botswana, Lesotho, and Fiji. The session provided a platform to exchange insights, share experiences, and strengthen coordination across ongoing and upcoming CLC activities.

Facilitators reflected on their experiences delivering CLC Level 1 and Level 2 courses over the past months. In Botswana, the CLC Level 1 course held in Mahalapye, organized by the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) in partnership with the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC), was praised for its strong participant engagement and the enthusiasm generated for community projects.

In Lesotho, the facilitators commended the excellent coordination by the Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (LSRC) and emphasized how the CLC continues to serve as an inspiring and empowering platform for both participants and facilitators alike.

Meanwhile, in Fiji, facilitators shared updates following the successful completion of CLC Level 2 in early September, noting that the Fiji National Sports Commission (FNSC) is now overseeing the submission of final project proposals for TAFISA's review and approval.

The discussion also focused on reinforcing horizontal themes such as gender equity and youth engagement across all future CLC activities. Facilitators collectively expressed their satisfaction with the program's growing impact and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing Sport for All through the CLC.

CLC Level 2 will next be delivered in Botswana and Lesotho in November, while project implementation in Fiji is set to begin before the end of the year. Stay tuned for inspiring local initiatives promoting active, healthy, and inclusive communities through sport!
