On 10 September, TAFISA hosted a webinar on Bridging Physical and Digital: Exploring Interactive Digital Solutions for Sport for All. This event, the eighth in the new Mission 2030 Series cycle, attracted attendees, with over 500 registrations, and featured participation from qualified experts in the field. The discussions explored the varied potentials and opportunities in digital solutions in Sport for All, while also highlighting the different structures needed to mitigate potential challenges.
The panel discussions featured valuable insights from Eckehard Fozzy Moritz from Innovationsmanufaktur, Dion Bulkens from the Knowledge Centre for Sport & Physical Activity, and Lucy Mills from Ready Sport Global. The discussion emphasized how Sport for All organizations can harness the potential of digital solutions, the role of community input in designing these solutions, and the population group that can benefit most from these solutions.
Marc Sarens, Project coordinator & Researcher, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, presented a case study sharing the VIBES project, which is focused on integrating VR technologies in Physical education classes. He stressed how this integration taps into and encourages participation across students with or without prior interest in physical education.
Save the date of our next webinar, "Shifting the Narrative: Data-Driven Approaches to Girls' Sport Participation", on the 21 of October, 2025. We look forward to another enlightening and enthusiastic conversation.
