During the recent visit to Botswana, TAFISA President Mr. Wolfgang Baumann and the delegation met with community leaders and coaches who have benefited from TAFISA's flagship capacity-building programs: the TAFISA Certified Leadership Course (CLC) and the TAFISA Girls Safe and Positive Coaching Pathway. The session offered a compelling look at how these initiatives are strengthening grassroots leadership, promoting inclusion, and transforming community sport delivery across the country.

The engagement highlighted inspiring stories of impact from program participants. Irene Jeremiah, a coach trained through the Girls Safe and Positive Coaching Pathway, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity and emphasized how the training has directly shaped her work with young people.

"I am grateful to TAFISA for this program. Through the learnings, I am now coaching children in Bontleng in hockey and integrating everything I gained from the pathway into my sessions," she shared.

Irene's experience reflects the growing group of empowered coaches who are promoting safe, positive, and inclusive environments for girls in sport.

Leaders trained through the TAFISA CLC also spoke about the program's transformative effect. Onkabetse Nkobolo, a graduate of the course, emphasized how the training strengthened his leadership confidence and his capacity to contribute at the national level.

"The TAFISA CLC has prepared me to lead effectively. I am now applying what I learned to ensure that my organization, Play Without Boundaries, which works with persons with disabilities, delivers programs successfully and with greater impact," he noted.
