Online Hub Takes Shape as KESCAB Partners Convene in Madrid

The KESCAB project partners gathered on the 12th & 13th of November at Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid for a transnational project partners meeting. Led by TAFISA, the project is developing an innovative online hub dedicated to building knowledge, skills, and capacity within the Sport for All sector.

Advancing Toward Launch

The two-day meeting provided partners with an essential opportunity to review upcoming deliverables and examine the proposed site map for the KESCAB Hub, which is scheduled to pilot in February 2026. Partners engaged in productive discussions about the platform's development, sharing insights and coordinating efforts to ensure the hub meets the diverse needs of Sport for All stakeholders across Europe and beyond.
The KESCAB Hub is being designed as an international platform that will bring together all Sport for All stakeholders in one dynamic space. Users will be able to acquire knowledge, develop skills and competencies, and create synergies with peers and organizations to advance the promotion of Sport for All globally.
Currently in the web platform development stage, the project is on track to be piloted in February 2026, when a pilot program will be launched to test the platform's functionalities with selected users. The KESCAB Hub will be officially presented to the global Sport for All community in May 2026 at the TAFISA World Congress in Prague, Czech Republic.

Communication and Engagement

Beyond reviewing technical development, partners dedicated substantial time to designing a comprehensive communication plan for three critical project phases: the announcement of the pilot phase, the official presentation at the TAFISA Congress, and the project's closure. Emphasis was placed on creating meaningful synergies with diverse actors who will participate in and benefit from the platform.
According to Gaëtán Garcia, Operations Director at TAFISA: "KESCAB is an ambitious project that seeks to transform training and capacity building in the Sport for All sector. It is driven by a highly complementary consortium whose combined experience has been essential to its development. The project is currently at a key milestone, finalizing the design and functionalities of the KESCAB Hub. The strong commitment and coordination of the partners have ensured efficient progress and very productive meetings. Overall, the project shows great potential thanks to the consortium's expertise in communication, training, and community work."
The strength of KESCAB lies in its diverse and experienced consortium, which brings together expertise from across Europe:
  • TAFISA (Germany) – Project Lead
  • España se Mueve (Spain)
  • Laureus Sport for Good (United Kingdom)
  • Portuguese Sports Confederation (Portugal)
  • French National Olympic and Sports Committee (France)

Looking Ahead
As KESCAB moves toward its February 2026 pilot launch and May 2026 official presentation, the project represents a significant step forward in professionalizing and democratizing access to Sport for All knowledge and capacity-building resources. The hub promises to become an essential resource for organizations, practitioners, policymakers, and researchers working to make sport accessible and beneficial for all people, regardless of age, ability, background, or location.
