TAFISA is pleased to officially open the bidding process to host the 32nd TAFISA World Congress 2031, inviting interested organisations and cities around the world to express their interest in welcoming one of TAFISA's flagship international events.
Held every two years, the TAFISA World Congress brings together leaders, policymakers, practitioners, researchers, cities, sport organisations and other stakeholders from across the world to exchange knowledge, build connections and help shape the future of Sport for All and physical activity.
Over five days, the Congress combines global dialogue and knowledge exchange with networking, the TAFISA General Assembly, physical activity, cultural experiences and opportunities to discover Sport for All in the host country.
Hosting the Congress is an opportunity to bring the international Sport for All Movement to your country while creating value at home.
It provides hosts with a global platform to showcase their leadership and Sport for All initiatives, mobilise national and local stakeholders, build international connections and create momentum that can continue well beyond the Congress.
No two TAFISA World Congresses are the same. Within the established Congress framework, each host has the opportunity to bring its own identity, culture, priorities and experiences to the event.

Explore the Host Information Deck
The benefits of hosting can begin well before the Congress opens and continue long after participants return home.
In the lead-up to the event, TAFISA works with the host to help build momentum, including through relevant programmes and capacity-building opportunities. This can support the development of local knowledge and expertise, mobilise national and local stakeholders, and connect the Congress journey with wider national Sport for All priorities.
Following the Congress, hosts can build on the knowledge, relationships and momentum created through the event - applying new ideas to future programmes and initiatives, strengthening national and international partnerships, and using the Congress as a springboard for continued Sport for All action.
Interested organisations and cities are invited to submit an Expression of Interest by 15 January 2027.
Candidates can also access the full bidding application form in advance to review the information required and begin preparing their proposal. Following receipt of an EOI, TAFISA will provide candidates with the full bidding package, including the detailed hosting guidelines and supporting documentation required to prepare their bid.
