On 27 and 28 June, the National Sports & Physical Activity Convention (NSC) | IAKS 2024 was held in Melbourne, Australia. The Convention was held in partnership with the International Association for Sport and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) to Inspire Innovation and drive Participation.
TAFISA's Vice President for Oceania, Cathy Wong, gave a keynote on Fiji and its work with global peak body TAFISA to develop strategies to promote Sport for All. Her presentation highlighted the efforts to bridge the gap between participation providers, policymakers, and all levels of government to foster inclusive sports participation.
Additionally, TAFISA's Board Member, Jacqueline Kronenburg, participated in a panel discussion titled 'Global Thought Leaders Session on Spaces and Places," where she shared insights from the Global Active Cities program initiated by TAFISA as well as the Dutch state-of-the-art knowledge about Active environments by the Knowledge Center for Sport and Physical Activity Netherlands (KCSB).
