The TAFISA team is thrilled to invite you to our next Mission 2030 webinar on "Recruiting and Retaining More Girls in Sports: The Role of Coaches". The third webinar in the series cycle will be hosted on 16 October from 12:00 to 13:30 (UTC+2/CEST). Save the date and register now to secure your spot!
Despite the well-documented benefits of sports participation, a persistent gap remains between the participation of boys and girls in sports. While significant progress has been made over the last two decades, the central question remains: How do we recruit and retain more girls in Sports at all levels? There is an overall understanding that coaches have relevant roles in shaping the sports experience for girls as they are in charge and empowered to create welcoming, safe, and supportive sport environments. Coaches need to be proactive and able to identify, address and overcome barriers that prevent girls from joining, participating and staying in sports programs. These are among many key areas this webinar aims to address.
The 90-minute program will feature case studies and speakers with a diverse background in a panel discussion bringing together leading organizations, coaches, and advocates to explore innovative actions for creating safe, supportive, and empowering spaces and environments for girls in sports. Through a dynamic discussion, we’ll highlight key actions taken by TAFISA, in partnership with Nike, to position coaches as vital allies in fostering positive and inclusive experiences for girls in sports.
If you are a coach, educator, sports organization or passionate about gender equality in sports, this webinar will provide actionable strategies and fresh perspectives to help create lasting change in your communities.
