On the 30th January TAFISA attended the annual Erasmus+ Sport Infoday, hosted by the European Commission and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). This event gathered sport stakeholders from all across Europe to inform on the political context, future programme and funding opportunities from 2020 and beyond. Speakers presented on policy and gave advice and tips on preparing and submitting proposals, as well as financial aspects of the funding opportunities. This was a great networking opportunity for TAFISA to meet over 600 potential project partners and learn about other EU sport projects.
Then on the 31st January, TAFISA attended the Erasmus+ Sport Project Coordinator’s meeting which provided those who are leading projects commencing in 2020 with detailed information on administrative and financial aspects of the management of projects. This was also a networking opportunity to meet with over 260 participants and learn about their projects.
The Erasmus+ Sport Infoday in Brussels provided a prime opportunity for a meeting between the TAFISA Europe Steering Committee Chair (Peter Barendse) and co-chairs (Malgorzata Szukalska-Wrona and Patrik Perosa) and TAFISA Business Development Manager (Keri McDonald) to discuss “Europe in Action” (co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission) which commenced in January 2020.
