TAFISA is proud to be a partner of the InSport project (Sport Inclusion - Full participation in sport by persons with disabilities), which saw its kick-off meeting take place in Vienna, Austria on January 18-19. The project, led by the Portuguese NGO APCAS (Cerebral Palsy Association of Almada Seixal), aims to develop a European model for the inclusion in sport of people with disabilities, based on a survey of existing best national practises and the greatest barriers to inclusion in EU member states. Once the survey has been carried out and the model is developed, a public web-based platform will be designed to provide knowledge and resources on best practises to fully include people with disabilities in sport. InSport is also aiming to establish a monitoring of the inclusion-rate of people with disabilities in sport across the EU.
InSport is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, led by APCAS and joined by TAFISA, Portuguese Institute of Youth and Sport (IPDJ), KC Sport Netherlands, European Paralympic Committee, UNESCO Chair IT Tralee.
