A highlight of the 26th TAFISA World Congress 2019, Tokyo, Japan, the TAFISA General Assembly took place on November 15th. Conducted every two years as part of the TAFISA World Congress, the TAFISA General Assembly is where major decisions happen, such as the elections of the TAFISA President and Board Members, the approval of new TAFISA members, or the voting of the next TAFISA Congresses and global events.
Well over two hundred participants attended the TAFISA General Assembly 2019, including the TAFISA National, International and Supporter Members entitled to vote on each item of the agenda.
The TAFISA General Assembly elected Nizhny-Novgorod, Russia, represented by the Russian Olympic Committee, to host the 8th TAFISA World Sport for All Games 2024.
The General Assembly approved DOSB, Germany with the city of Düsseldorf to host the 28th TAFISA World Congress 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany. It also approved MASFA to host the 1st TAFISA Asian Sport for All Games 2022 in Kuching City, Sarawak, Malaysia.
