TAFISA Honoured with Medal of Honor by the African Union Sports Council Region 5

We are proud to share that TAFISA was awarded the Medal of Honor by the African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 in recognition of its continued support and impactful contributions to the region. The prestigious award was presented by Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, during the  Opening Ceremony of the AUSC Region 5 Youth Games at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek, Namibia. TAFISA Vice President for Africa, Keenese Katisenge-Tizhani, had the honour of receiving the medal on behalf of the organization.

This recognition marks a significant milestone for TAFISA, underscoring the organisation's long-standing commitment to advancing Sport for All and fostering inclusive, community-centred physical activity across the African continent. The Medal of Honor reflects not only the impact of TAFISA's programmes and partnerships in Region 5, but also the trust and collaboration built with governments, stakeholders, and local communities over the years. It serves as a powerful affirmation of TAFISA's mission and motivates the organisation to continue supporting sustainable development, youth empowerment, and active, healthy societies throughout Africa.
