TAFISA Visits Limerick in Preparation for the 3rd TAFISA European Sport for All Games 2026

On 7 October, Jean-Francois Laurent, TAFISA Secretary General, and Rachel Mait, Project Impact Manager, traveled to Limerick, Ireland, to meet with the European Sport for All Games organizers, Limerick Sports Partnership, the Organizing Committee, and partners as preparations continue for the Games, set to take place 6-11 August 2026.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to review progress and further align key aspects of the Games. Productive discussions took place around ensuring the event will showcase Europe's diversity of traditional and indigenous sports, community initiatives, and the spirit of "Sport for All."

Hosted in the vibrant city of Limerick, the 2026 European Sport for All Games will bring together participants from across Europe to celebrate inclusion, culture, and sport. The Organizing Committee and TAFISA teams reaffirmed their shared commitment to delivering an inspiring, sustainable, and memorable event that promotes the power of traditional sport to unite people and communities.

TAFISA extends its appreciation to the Limerick Sports Partnership hosts for their warm welcome and ongoing dedication. We look forward to continuing our collaboration as preparations move forward toward what promises to be a landmark celebration of Sport for All in 2026.
