TAFISA and sportanddev Sign Memorandum of Understanding at TAFISA World Congress 2026

On the occasion of the 29th TAFISA World Congress 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic, TAFISA and the International Platform on Sport and Development (sportanddev) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), formalising a strategic partnership between two of the world's leading organisations in their respective fields.

The agreement establishes a framework for sustained cooperation across a range of shared priorities, including joint advocacy for Sport for All and sport for development policies, cross-promotion of programmes and events, collaborative capacity-building, and joint applications for funding. The two organisations are already working together on SUCCEED Framework, a global framework dedicated to fostering community empowerment and development through capacity building in Sport for All. Sportanddev contributes to SUCCEED through sportanddev.org and a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) providing open access resources and learning in four United Nations languages.

The MoU was signed by sportanddev Steering Board Chair Professor Marion Keim and TAFISA President Janez Sodržnik MSc., alongside sportanddev Executive Director Dr Ben Sanders and TAFISA Secretary General Jean-François Laurent.
