In the face of a global increase in child migrants and refugees, the conference highlighted the pivotal role sports play in fostering social inclusion, physical and mental health, and youth development. Despite these benefits, accessing sports activities often presents challenges for this demographic. The Diversity Conference aimed to spotlight existing initiatives and best practices, identifying challenges and working towards key initiatives to overcome barriers.

A notable objective of the conference is the preparation of a handbook, laying the foundation for stakeholders to better address the inclusion of child migrants and refugees through sport. TAFISA remains committed to promoting sport as a powerful tool for social change, aligning with the broader mission of fostering wellbeing and integration for all, irrespective of background or circumstances.
