The KESCAB (Knowledge and experience sharing and capacity building online Hub) project partners experienced an exciting moment during the TAFISA World Congress in Dusseldorf, Germany, on 2 November, where they briefly met and greeted each other.

The sector of Health Enhancing Physical Activity (HEPA) and Sport for All plays a critical role in providing all citizens with opportunities to be active, not only physically but also in social development through Sport for All and contributing to the achievement of the SDGs in many areas including education, diversity and social inclusion, gender equality, health, and wellbeing. Organisations and individuals face implementation challenges as many policies, programmes, and priorities arise. Capacity building and knowledge and experience sharing, therefore, serve as investments with development outcomes themes incorporated for better quality sports programmes and increased sustainability.

The KESCAB project aims to develop on online hub that will support project partners’ members, their stakeholders, and the Sport for All and physical activity Movement at large through closer cross-sectoral cooperation, a network of advisory services on Education, Sport, and technology to build capacity, and exchange knowledge, experience, and good practices on the enabling factors of digital and general Education in Sport for All. The online hub will host different interactive platforms that will link international, European, regional, and national education initiatives and strategies; and connect everyone.

The project, which is being led by TAFISA, with ICSSPE, Sports Union of Slovenia, España se Mueve, CNOSF, Laureus Sport For Good Foundation, Knowledge centre for sport and Physical Activity Netherlands, Portuguese Sports Confederation and Hungarian Leisure Sport Association as partners, is set to commence in January 2024.
