The 26th TAFISA World Congress was held from 13th to 17th November 2019 in Tokyo, Japan, under the theme "Sport for All Through Tradition and Innovation" In 2019, for the first time in history, TAFISA joined forces with Smart Cities and Sport for a unique joint event programme on November 14th between the TAFISA World Congress (November 13-17) and the Smart Cities and Sport Summit (November 12-14).
TAFISA World Congresses are open to all Sport for All organisations and enthusiasts, TAFISA Members and non-members alike. The TAFISA General Assembly, at which TAFISA National Members set the agenda for TAFISA, forms part of the World Congress.

Applicants will present their bid to the TAFISA General Assembly on October 8, 2021 during a Bidding Ceremony. The General Assembly, which is part of the TAFISA World Congress in Portoroz, Slovenia, October 6 – 10, 2021, will elect the winner.
