On 28 August - 1 September, TAFISA Vice President, Herzel Hagay, proudly participated in the fourteenth ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Sports (SOMS-14), held from 28 August to 1 September, hosted by Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
TAFISA's involvement went beyond attendance, as we were invited to present at the Open Session. This opportunity not only showcased our ongoing activities but also provided a valuable platform for engaging discussions and the exchange of ideas. The event served as a cornerstone for deepening our collaboration not only with Thailand but also with the broader ASEAN region.
Highlights of the meeting series include the launch of the 1st ASEAN Physical Fitness Indicators (APFI) Report, a key deliverable of Thailand’s sports sector chairpersonship as a commitment under Programme 2.2 of the ASEAN Work Plan on Sports 2021-2025.
As we actively participated in SOMS-14, TAFISA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sports and physical activity on a global scale, fostering partnerships that transcend borders. The experience has not only broadened our perspective but has also laid the foundation for future endeavors in the ASEAN region.
We extend our gratitude to Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports and ASEAN for hosting this meeting and look forward to continued collaboration.
