Ibero-American Council of Sports (CID) and TAFISA sign Memorandum of Understanding

On 24 October, a momentous occasion unfolded as TAFISA and the Ibero-American Council of Sport (CID) joined hands by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This significant pact symbolises a shared commitment to promote Sport for All and physical activity. 

CID President Sebastian Palacios and TAFISA President Wolfgang Baumann met in Paris, France, to conclude the partnership between both organisations.

Sebastian Palacios commented: “The Ibero-American Sports Council is committed to Sports for All and it is an honour to work back to back with TAFISA on this purpose. This MoU will bring a collaborative approach in the field of sports for development”.

TAFISA and CID are united by common goals and will leverage this strategic alliance to enhance the positive impact of Sport for All in the Ibero-American region.

In the words of Wolfgang Baumann, "We are thrilled to sign a MoU with the Ibero-American Council of Sport today and looking forward to our collaboration to bring the benefits of Sport for All to more people. TAFISA and the CID share common values, and this partnership reaffirms the importance of the Ibero-American countries as members of the Global Sport for All Movement".

Through concerted efforts, TAFISA and CID are poised to elevate their influence, ensuring the level of international cooperation relevant to achieving the objectives of the MoU, which aligns with TAFISA Mission 2030 and the CID’s Work Plan 2023–24.

In unison, TAFISA and CID herald a new era of joining forces and combining efforts, resources, and expertise for a better world through Sport for All. In the coming months, further steps will be taken towards the development of joint programmes.
