On Wednesday 12 May, TAFISA hosted the sixth Europe in Action virtual project partner meeting which brought together all nine partners to discuss the progress of the project so far and map out the next steps. This is a pivotal moment for the project as it enters its half-way point of its three year funding.

On 11 May, close to 200 participants from 70 countries joined the online Workshop “Active Spaces: Fostering Active Communities”. This second event of the TAFISA Mission 2030 Workshop Series was held in partnership with the Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS).  

As part of FLOT project, an online Certified Leadership Course (CLC) for Sport for All was organised by TAFISA starting March 25th, 2021. The course is distributed over 10 weeks to total 20 hours of online training until 3 June. 2021.

On 22 April TAFISA will host a session on “Turning Cities into Active cities” as part of the Sports, Medicine and Health Summit (SMHS) held in Hamburg, Germany.

On Wednesday 31 March TAFISA hosted the fifth Europe in Action project partner meeting via Zoom which brought all nine project partners together. The meeting offered the chance for partners to update one another on the progress made since the last Europe in Action meeting, in addition to discussing the projects next steps.

TAFISA Member IDO’s webinar on “Challenges for the Management of Sport Organisations during COVID-19” was well received and attended by 150 participants across the world on 25 March. The event presented a good opportunity for TAFISA Junior Director Jean-Francois Laurent to share TAFISA’s take on COVID-19’s impact on the Sport for All Movement.

On 23-24 March the Erasmus+ Sport InfoDay was held and provided information about the political context, new Erasmus+ programme, funding opportunities, and changes in the grant application procedures in 2021.
